Hello!
My family and I are relocating from Phx,Az area to Las Colinas/ Irving part of town. In searching for places it seems ALL the apartment complexes have SERIOUS roach issues!!! That's just nasty! Now I'm not sure if its just folks trying to scare potential tenets away or not, but they are doing a great job!

Anyone have any suggestions???

*I have 2 twin 2 year old girls so any daycare recommendations would be helpful too

Thanks

I live in Las Colinas and I have not seen one roach on the property I live at (Bella Casita). I cant speak for the rest but I will say that all the apartments in my area Lake Carolyn are keep up very well. I highly doubt you will have a bug problem. The area is nice and they are building new apartments right now in the area.

Ok thank you for your feedback!!! The feedback is subjective, I know....just I kept hearing about bugs and pest everywhere!!!! I'm like is he area infested or something??? I'd figure the old or dirty complexes (which I avoid anyway) but even the nice new complexes have pest issues!!!

Bella doesn't look bad. Mostly reviews about parking and maintaince issues:

We noticed roaches in the apartments we stayed in this area. Try renting 2nd/3rd story apartment. Use Bengal roach spray.

Texas is very buggy. I kill the occasional "Palmetto" in my single family house in Las Colinas. Huge roaches that get in from outside.

Ouch!!! That's not gonna fly with the wife. She's from Puerto Rico where the roaches are huge and fly. This ought to be VERY interesting! Here in Arizona we have scorpions.... But those don't freak her out as much as roaches!

We used to live in landings at la villita. Although we did not have roach issue because we stayed on the 2nd floor but we had mice issue once. I trapped couple of them and the issue did not recur...

Honestly, had the same only ONE time. We stayed at the mariott extended stay because they were the only ones that had a two bedroom penthouse available for our dates. Well, wasn't I shocked when I was in the bathroom and I saw a big ole' waterbug that was at least 2+ inches long.

Here I thought, I have just lived in Asia, I should be used to it. But nope, skill scared me to the pieces and the hubby took care of it.

And we were on the second floor with the third floor loft. I have been petrified since, that I would find a scorpion, roach or anything yucky looking. We moved into our rental at the beginning of august in Collin county..first thing we did was line up a monthly extermination service.

Nothing so far (inside or out)--and I would like it to stay that way.

Yes the only thing I hate at my apartments is the parking shortage. All other complexes in the ares have better parking situations. That's the one thing I can say about bella casita. Again can't speak n all others in regaurds to bugs problems, but none here. Unless I lucked out lol but I haven't heard anyone her make any complaints about bugs. I would probably think if any had bugs it would be the older ones on the other side of lake Carolyn. You have the older more developed side of lake Carolyn and the newer side being build up now. Which is the side my apartment sits on. Hope every answered your questions looks like a few people on here have had problems. But Bella casita out side of parking is good. Parking ont bad if your coming home past 10 at night. For the most part.
