I'm planning to move to Dallas Texas next year in the summer with my two children. One will be in his first year of High School and the other still in Elementary. I am looking to find a job in the Marketing field and Real Estate. I am so confused with where would be a great place to move with great schools, things to do with my kids, shopping centers and grocery stores, and a great area with not to bad of a commute to a job. I am looking for affordable renting like townhomes with family rooms that are safe, affordable, and nice. I also want to know do any rentals come with family rooms or den areas for the kids. Please let me know where to start.

You need to get a job first. The DFW area is HUGE, larger than Rhode Island and Connecticut combined. Then look for a place with not too bad of a commute.

Then, if we knew your budget, that would help.

For starters though, the northern Dallas suburbs all have shopping centers and grocery stores. Most have great schools. All of the area has things to do with your kids.

Agreed that you need to find a job first, and we need to know your budget, too. There are many safe, family-friendly areas with good schools all over DFW.
