Oh honey........... I've done enough business w/ some of the old guard Cowboys, the Boys from the Jimmy era that it is funny to look back on now. Working right by Valley View Mall when they used to practice down the road was fun. Remember Septien (sp)? Then I worked for a few years out in Valley Ranch during the JJ & JJ era. The Playmaker........ To think................ oh never mind. Those were some FUN times

Note to self: My daughters are NEVER allowed to work at any business in close proximity to ANY sports franchises practice facilities.

My favorite was either the COLD BAR/ROOM Downstairs, or the Funny Bar!!!
Remember the really prissy door guy Roderick?

JVTX thanks for those sites - I am now listening to the podcast: STARCK REVISITED with DJ Ronnie Bruno

The STARCK was the spellbinding synthesis of Dallas' greatest boom, the 80s and its wonderful music and the international cache brought by Phillipe (and let's not forget Stevie and Grace).

There will never be another!

Mary you just need two pages of collected memories like that STARCK site to remember what you did. A lot of those stories (and the music) brought back memories even though I was not really a regular. I had a friend who did business with the Woodalls so we were 'on the list' - I remember how everyone thought $10 cover was outrageous. Also you had to watch if Craig served you drinks (in the cool glasses) at 1:59 am or they would be whisked away after you spent like $7 each on them!

JVTX I was one of the wall 'grate' dancers!

* I actually started laughing with nostalgia when I heard that "Tarzan Boy" song on the myspace profile.

MySpace.com - Starck Club Revisited - 41 - Male - Texas - www.myspace.com/starckclubrevisited (broken link)

Oh wow .... I recognize all of those songs on that myspace. While you all were dancing at the Starck, I was at the Bonham Exchange in San Antonio. I was 18 but trying to sneak in - drinking age was 19 then? Those songs sure do bring back memories. I remember coming to Dallas w/a friend the summer of 85 and going to a place called Confetti's. I'm sure it pales in comparison to the Starck though, lol.
