A friend of mine just moved into a rental house, Dallas County, situated close to Knox Henderson area. The front and back yard are both grass-less; all dirt. We are wanting to do sod or seed and lay gravel for patio area and a couple of other small, basic landscape improvements in exchange for one (1) - two (2) months rent. We have done several similar projects before. This would drastically help keep the interior of landlords investment cleaner, as opposed to the mud mess that exists now, and obviously improve the looks of the property. Anyone know the best way to approach the trade? thanks...

That may be hard. We currently rent and I've made some vast improvements to the landscape for now trade in rent. Landscapes can come and go quiet easily, so I think it would be difficult for you to get any trade off for rent on that one. No any changes you make that will be long lasting may be negotiable with rent. Good luck!
