So I picked up and visited New Orleans and Baton Rouge over the weekend. I had the most wonderful eventful weekend and did things that cannot be done here in Dallas. The food was incredible and again, we cannot get that good food up here. I went to a Seafood Festival. We don't have seafood festivals up here. I went to an college football tailgate. There is no such thing a real college football team here, and tailgating at Jerry world sucks.

My friends seem to think the most exciting thing to do during summertime is going to a Rangers game. That's the best we have?

You live in Plano, not Dallas. Enough said

If you think you can't get the same quality or better food in Dallas as anywhere in Louisiana you're doing something wrong.

New Orleans and Baton Rouge aren't Dallas. Different cities, different culture and events.

Dallas doesn't get much fresh sea food, so a sea food festival would not be very good. Our chili cook-offs beat the pants off of theirs though.

However, neither New Orleans or Baton Rouge have The State Fair of Texas. That same State Fair also hosts a most awesome "tailgate party" for the Red River Rivalry.

If you think that Dallas is boring, perhaps you should check out the event thread that is stickied to the top of this forum.

Exactly! All you have to do is look up just the events listed on pegasusnews.com or guidelive.com to find more than you'll ever have enough time or money to do!

Seriously, if you're bored around here, it's your own fault or that of the group you've been hanging around with! Venture out!

NOLA is a great place to visit but go ahead and move down there and report back to us, if you're still alive

So the reason Dallas is boring is we don't have a seafood festival?
