Normals for high, low, and average temperatures, and for cumulative precipitation, as well records for as daily and monthly extremes of temperatures, and daily records for snowfall and liquid precipitation at DFW airport.

This is January. You can select other months at the bottom.

A questionnaire for you.

Do you dislike hot, sweltering summers that last 5 months out of the year?

Do 105 degree daytime highs with 45% humidity bother you?

How about overnight lows near 80?

Do you mind being trapped in climate controlled areas from May through September?

If you're thinking about making a move to DFW and you answered yes to more than 2 of those questions, you might want to reconsider. Summers in DFW are destestable.

They're actually exaggerated, a lot, imo. Much like a few of the commute discussions.

I lived there for 12 years, to me it's not an exaggeration. The wretched heat in summer is a big reason why we left. I wouldn't wish DFW's craptastic summer climate on my worst enemy.

Moderator cut: orphaned quote

Moderator cut: inappropriate language

Pros of DFW? Jobs and cheaply made stick houses.
Cons? Traffic, climate, and scenery.

In case you think it's hyperbole, it was 95 on Easter Sunday in 2006, and 100 the following day.
