I am looking for places that emphasize healthier items like wraps, salads, pitas, vegetable plates, etc. I like the salads and wraps at Salad Stop and also Snappy Salads is good (even though I have a hard time shelling out $10+ for a salad). Next on my list is to try Salata and Mama Pita. I just discovered Mama Pita exists and it looks like the type of place I have been looking for. Anyone else have any suggestions or favorites?

Zoe's - Mediterranean fast casual. One at Park & Preston by the Chick Fil A and just opened at Shops @ Legacy.

Second Zoe's. Even my meat-and-potatoes husband loves it!

Central Market has healthy salads on their salad bar - quinoa, etc.

Thanks for the suggestions - I always forget about Zoe's, I went to one in Charlotte years ago and need to add it to my list again. I am also looking forward to trying Eatzi's.

Salata is quite good. I like it much more than Salad Stop.

Eatzi's is fabulous. Lots of fresh and healthy choices but also lots of more decadent choices so it will take a lot of self restraint.

I was not at all impressed by Mama Pita, but you've reminded me of another good option - Fadi's Mediterranean (just over the border in Frisco - Preston road, near the mall). You can get a mountain of salads and very good vegetables and a variety of other stuff all served cafeteria style (you indicate what you want and they pile it on the plate or to go container). They have hot as well as cold items. It's all very fresh and bright.

For a fancier sit-down meal (or dining at the bar), try Seasons 52. Big emphasis on lighter dishes (nothing on the menu is over 475 calories).

The salad bar at Central Market Dallas is huge and fabulous. The one at CM Plano is much tinier but is still ok.
