We had a year experience living in Frisco but zoned to LISD, the school was a complete disaster.
We now live in plano, school is as good as it can get within the public system. Either next year or the following one which will be year 5 we will be opting for the nightmareish commute to a private schools, if we stay in texas obviously.
Centennial and Brinker are very good schools in plano. I am sure that HISD is amazing but I would rather send my kids to greenhill or similar than live in a smaller house just to be zoned to HISD.
