Greetings everyone,

My wife and I are looking to buy our first home in the DFW metroplex. We both work in South Arlington, by the Highlands. We are currently renting and living in the far east Fort Worth area (Eastchase).

We are looking to spend around $100-125k. We are looking for a 3 bedroom, 1.5+ bath house. We do not want a townhome/duplex. Safety is our #1 priority at this point. We do not have children yet (we have a dog), but will have children within the next couple years. We would probably be able to move to a better school district before they are ready for school.

Can anyone please recommend some good areas that we should look at that are no further than 25 miles from South Arlington?

Thank you.

Why not South Arlington or Mansfield? You can easily get 3BR/2BA home in your price range, and those areas are very safe. I'm thinking zip codes 76017, 76001, but I know people who live all around South Arlington and Mansfield, and they all love it.

You betcha. That area has some well priced homes that will be hard to find within 25 miles. Might be able to go farther south if you want more of a country feel.
