I was reading Turtle's thread about diversity in DFW and though how many of our residents see DFW as a place to call home for ever, knowing its pros and cons.
A. Where were you born?
B. How long have you been in DFW?
C. Wheredo you intend to retire?

Born here to non native parents, but for most part raised overseas.
Lived here on and off for 20 years

B. Almost all my 27 years. I lived in Raleigh, NC for 6 months during college, and spent a few months in Germany after high school

C. Retirement is a long way off, but if I move it will be to Florida (before retirement)

B. Been in TX about 26 years or so, DFW for most of that.
C. Plans now are for a beach house in Brazil. My wife is Brazilian and we have a lot of family there.

B. A year and a half
C. Chicago burbs during the late spring, summer, early fall. Rest of the time visiting warmer places (Hawaii, California, Florida)
