Ice always wins.
True again Ditsy. 2,800 flights were cancelled at DFW, a major airport with the very latest in snow removal equipment in the world.

This is the 3rd day of this crappy weather. If I lived in a God-foresaken place where this happened regularly I'd go CRAZY. Everybody is all cooped-up inside, and when they must go outside they're all bundled-up instead of enjoying themselves. People that enjoy this kind of weather are insane.

I've been enjoying reading books and watching TV by the fire.

That's wonderful for a few hours, but the image I have is that of an elderly person waiting to die.

There could be a spike in births, 9 months from now. There are more ways to entertain oneself than books.

Go get yourself a four-wheeler, find a empty parking lot or field, and offer to tow some kiddos around on their sleds! Or, better yet, you could just take your golf cart to one and do some wheelies!

Had to go into work yesterday, McKinney to Frisco via 121. Drive was worse coming home than going in even tho no new precipitation. And that was with my FWD Honda Accord. Doable, but not advisable.

At the risk of being a buzzkill and no idea if you were being serious or not, but during the 10 years I lived in Omaha lots of kids were seriously injured, sometimes fatally, doing just that with people a lot more experienced driving on ice.

Damn! I've never tried entertaining myself by doing that for 3 whole days. I've found that around 30 minutes is ideal...and I need a number of hours to recuperate.
