hi. i have some people visiting from overseas and they don't want to drive (different side of the road). how reliable are the DART buses?

do they run mostly on time? if they don't, could they maybe figure twice the estimated times for travel?

thanks.

Be at the stop 5 min early, plan the trip on google maps. I used the system for a year, no car. No major issues.

thanks for your reply. so if they are there a little early, the buses will be there pretty soon thereafter? i have read that the trains run on schedule but that the buses do not.

also, will regional cover all of dallas and maybe ft. worth? or do they need a regional?

thanks again.

My buses were almost always on schedule to the minute. This was in morning and afternoon traffic. Maybe lesser used buses may not be as precise.

During the early morning (5 AM to 9 AM) and evening (3 PM to 7 PM), the buses typically run smoothly and on time...at least Monday through Friday.

During the middle part of the day, the buses run less frequently and may arrive a bit earlier or later than expected. This all depends on which buses you are using. In my bus riding experience, the buses that have shorter routes tend to run on schedule almost all the time. Buses that cover greater distances are prone to greater variance, especially buses with long routes and heavy usage.
