Prestonwood has a strong child ministry but it is nowhere near diverse.

The word "diverse" can many totally different things to different people. The OP needs to give us more specifics.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. We are Christian who have a charismatic background, and have attended non denominational, Pentecostal, and evangelical churches in the past. We are looking for a place that stays close to the bible in their teaching and open to the wonderment of the Holy Spirit. I other words, we are looking for a church that is not more beholden to the predetermined order of service than they are to seeking a corporate encounter with God. Our current church is a non-denominational, evangelical church that makes prayer its foundation and actively seeks encounters with God in our worship, in ministry in everyday life. These encounters are in the form of marriages being healed, praying prayers over one another that are not based on the prayer request collected but on what God places in your heart to pray (and is then confirmed by the recipient to be exactly what they are going through), or just a special time of worship where you leave renewed and refreshed. We're less concerned with the denominational title and more interested in a place that sincerely and authentically seeks after God. I hope that explains our request a little better for those who have asked. Thank you again for your recommendations, thoughts and ideas!

Funny for the above recommendation because the church that came to mind that is almost exactly what you describe above is directly across the street from Bent Tree.

Sojourn Church | Carrollton Plano Texas Interdenominational Christian Bible-believing Church

Sojourn will be much more charismatic and have an emphasis on healing and personal ministry. They will also be the type of church to "go with the flow." Good solid southern Baptists that got filled with the Spirit in the charismatic renewal of the 70s and 80s are the core of the foundation, so bible teaching is paramount. Not a fly by the seat of your pants charismatic church with no biblical teaching.

Bent Tree is an awesome church, but it will be a little more structured in its Sunday Services and will not identify itself as a charismatic fellowship.

I know a few people who go to Lake Pointe in Rockwall; they love it.

Give Covenant Church a try, even before you get here. They have a live broadcast available on their website at 9am on Sunday mornings. They also have a radio station. You will see by reading and listening that they are a VERY diverse, spirit-filled congregation!

Covenant Church: Welcome

Dallas/Forth Worth has a lot of great Bible churches (very sound Biblical teaching, no relying on fluff or traditions), thanks in part to Dallas Theological Seminary.
If you're looking for sound Biblical teaching, I'd recommend churches like Denton Bible church (in Denton) or Trinity Bible church (in Richardson), Bent Tree Bible Church (in Carrollton) but there are dozens that are great. Some like Denton Bible church even post their sermons online, so you can virtually attend for a while to see if it's a good fit before you actually attend.

Covenant Church: Welcome
Covenant would be another I would recommend along with Sojourn. Another would be North Church. All are in the North Dallas/Carrollton/Farmers Branch areas.

North Church Home | North Church

I see more posts recommending several of the Bible Churches in the area. The OP specifically stated they were looking for a charismatic church. Dallas Seminary holds to a strict dispensationalist theology. None of the Bible Churches in the area that align with DTS will be welcoming of the charismatic gifts, unless some have had a major break with DTS on this subject.

I can recommend
Create Church on Greenville Ave. in Richardson, Tx
Covenant Church in Carrollton
City Church in Rowlett
Gateway in Southlake

ARC churches seem to be what you are seeking, charismatic, scripture teaching and contemporary worship.
