You either don't have a realtor to help answer this, or you haven't asked your realtor who SHOULD be answering this...which one is it?

CDU is from the appraisal district and stands for Condition/Desirability/Utility.

You should ask your realtor, but I don't think it really matters. If it was poor, I would be concerned, but average is likely fine.

IF your home is in a desirable neighborhood and the market is good, you should have no impact...

IF your home is a low-end less than $120k home and you have foundation issues or any other issues that affect the condition, those factors will likely impact your ability to sell for top dollar....the appraisal district ratings will not be the driving factors in any case - they may have the 'right' rating of condition or it may be 'wrong' but it won't matter as the market looks at comps and your actual home conditions...they don't base it off appraisal district!

Again - these are things you should have your realtor explain to you - they are working for you and should be answering these questions for you. Use them!

It's just for tax appraisal purposes; for buying and selling the inspection report will tell you the home's condition.

Trust me, there are plenty of people out there like my friend who lives in a perfectly nice $1.3-1.5M-ish home in the Park Cities, but goes to DCAD every spring to fight like hell to get his taxes down. One metric they will adjust to lower taxes is the condition of the house; their house is classified as "uninhabitable" or something like that but it is a 3500sf home in moderately updated condition with perfect foundation, roof, etc.

Take it with a grain of salt!!
