How does stealing water become a race issue? Like most large city councils, virtually anything discussed by council members brings up race.

PS - Prestonwood Country Club has been 'up for sale' for many months and two large potential buyers (e.g. Club Corp) have said they were not interested after doing their due diligence of the property. Much work needs to be done on the club's Plano location's infrastructure (irrigation sstem, etc.) and well as the clubhouse. Prestonwood's members have been leaving for other clubs over the past few years.

According to some " sources" some potential buyers showed interest and they were declined. It's Attracting attention thanks to new luxury homes at that end of Carrollton and all that construction in Grandescape of The Colony.

If you ask me, between Gleneagles, Watters Creek, Craig Ranch, Pecan Hollow, Los Rios and DA @ Spring Creek ... Plano has too many Golf courses and being located in middle of big towns, there are so many more to explore.

I'm told the Prestonwood Hills course doesn't even have a golf pro.

Its simply not true. They have two golf pros, two assistants, one super and a instruction director. Its not Tiger Wood level course but still very nice with a decent country club and sports facilities. I like their friendly and charming neighborhood. Homes are good to look at, back to creek or course and sit on nice lots, great for commute as well.

Fights over water rights are intensifying all over Texas. The river that flows through my small hometown has been tasked with a water marshall, and they routinely check to make sure no one is pumping out of the river to irrigate their crops. It's getting ridiculous honestly. One could also say unfair as they pay a premium (I believe additional taxes as well but not sure) to own riverfront land, but apparently they have no rights to the water as it is meant for someone farther downstream.

Why are they losing a far greater number of their members than other clubs?

All suburban country clubs lost significant numbers of members during recession, things are picking up. PW management needs to work on their skills for gaining & retaining members.
