Moving from CA to Texas.
Does anyone know what morning/evening rush hour traffic is like in Lewisville? Specifically, what will the drive be like from Aledo, Tx to Lewisville during rush hour??? Mapquest says it will take an hour (with no traffic). Just wondering how much time will be added during rush hour. Also, what are the hours of rush hour in morning and evening???
Any responses are greatly appreciated!!!

OMG... Lewisville to Aledo without rush hour will be at least 90 minutes... rush hour will be over 2 hours...

I take it that you want to be in the country, if so, may I suggest looking north of Lewisville in Denton county such as Aubrey, Sanger and other places.

As for the traffic in Lewisville...it can be bad but honestly not any more than most areas. Between 7:00 and 8:00, heading towards Dallas it can get congested, but heading north it isn't as congested. There are tollroads such as George Bush and 121 that are also helping cut down on commute times in and around Lewisville.

Driving Directions from Aledo, TX to Lewisville, TX

Oh wow! You can kiss your personal life goodbye.

Traffic around 183 & 820 is terrible in the mornings. Once you hit 121 you should be fine, but do remember its a toll road now starting at Grapevine.

I would say tack on another 30-45 minutes to that 1 hour commute of yours just to be safe.

Aledo has some beautiful ranchettes and ranches. Acreage is not cheap either.

When you do look for a place to stay try searching in the mid cities area of Hurst, Euless, & Bedford. All 3 are nice & very affordable places to live if you want a halfway point between your parents house & work. That would cut your commute time down to 30 minutes.
