I'm sorry, I can't help you. I would like to get a portrait of my sons and myself this season too. I have no idea where to have it done.

The Gaylord and the Arboretum are both good options. Others are the Christmas Village in front of the library in Richardson on Central. Some of the outdoor shopping areas like Southlake, Firewheel Town Center, Snider Plaza, areas in Highland Park and University Park. Gosh there are a ton. Even some neighborhoods have some great entrances and same goes w/ the parks and golf courses.

The Gaylord was terrific for this purpose...other than the fact that there must have been 20K people there (Sat Night)!

I was at Gaylord last Thursday night and there were very few people wandering around- It was TO's (Cowboys's) birthday night so I was surprised it was so empty! Maybe call first! P.s. it was gorgeous! and so were the children dressed up! they were.

It is a hotel/resort in Grapevine right by DFW Airport. It is a HUGE resort. They also have an exhibit every Christmas called "ICE". You can pull up the info online. They have several locations throughout the country.

Highland Park Village would be great...go at night, as the Village's trees are lit, and it's very beautiful.

The Gaylord is a really nice and big resort located in Grapevine off of Texan Trail behind DFW Airport and Grapevine Mills Mall. It would be a good place to Christmas pictures. Also, I know a lot of people that go to Southlake Town Center for pictures.

You have to pay to park at Gaylord unless you eat at restaurant and get a discounted--maybe free--parking voucher to turn in...
check that web site--think it says--
and yes
on weekends there are many many people taking their holiday pictures but it is pretty place and most people give you some space when you get ready to snap the picturs...
downtown Grapevine has been decorated--there are some nice locations there as well
