Hi. My family is planning to move from Southern Nevada to Celina later this year. We briefly toured some homes in Carter Ranch and thought that's where we wanted to be. But, the homes are selling QUICKLY and there won't be one ready in time for our move. There is, however, a home in the nearby Heritage community available.

I know Heritage is smaller than Carter Ranch, and lacks a few of the amenities (i.e. the lake, a community center) that Carter Ranch has. My question: Should we hold out for Carter Ranch, or is Heritage an adequate substitute? Any and all advice/info about the Heritage community will be appreciated (as we haven't even been to visit Heritage in person).

We moved to Celina about 18 months ago and looked at homes in both Carter Ranch and Heritage. Ended up buying in Heritage, and really so happy that we did. My in-laws moved a few months after us, and bought in Carter Ranch. The stories they have about their neighbors compared to ours really stand out. Lots of renters, lots of lower income in Carter Ranch. The "ammenities" look nice until you see the entire HOA trying to fit in that one pool during the summer.

Thanks for the info, Danaere. We settled on Heritage as well, so I guess we'll be neighbors soon! I had heard some about which you spoke but found it hard to believe given how "nice" Carter Ranch looks. Thanks for confirming it for me.
