Hello,

I just got a job in Frisco and we are moving from Chicago,IL. 25 yo couple. No kids for 2-3 years.

We checked out Flower Mound, Grapevine, and Southlake.

We plan on renting for 6 months maybe a year.

How is Prosper?

Looking for a more upscale area. Lots of shopping, stores, nice restaurants, also safe.

Would love to stay within 15 minutes of my work but not necessary.

Prosper has larger home lots but is not as populated for the shopping and dining you are looking for.
Austin Ranch is near Frisco and Plano and you would have an easy commute to your job. Also seems
to be good for your age group as well. When you say renting I assume you mean an apartment and not
a house.
Austin Ranch

Prosper doesn't have any of this.

Austin Ranch looks phony. Can't see any pictures of the places.

If you want to stay close look at Frisco itself. North and West Plano too.

What's your budget? Southlake, Flower Mound and Grapevine are all a long commute up a toll road to Frisco.

Prosper will soon have major upscale retail/entertainment.Construction will start this Spring...

We moved to Prosper from Greenwich,CT.We love it here. When we were narrowing down areas,we realized we wanted to live close to major retail but not in it.I like the fact that while Prosper will have in town shopping and entertainment,it will never have what Frisco has.We also wanted to live in an area with large lots.We absolutely did not want to be in an area with back alley garages.Low crime, high median home values and good schools were also priorities. Those wants led us to Prosper over Mc Kinney,Frisco and Plano.Mc Kinney,Frisco and Plano are great choices as well, but for us particularly,Prosper was a match.

Prosper sure became a hot topic on this forum. How coincidental.
