Hi guys!

Today I had the unpleasant surprise to see that a collection company flagged my credit score. According to them I owe an amount to a hospital after a visit to the ER in 2008. According to my records, I paid everything (What bothers me the most is that, even if I were mistaken, it is a very small amount of money that could have been paid at any time but not the hospital nor the collection company contacted me before affecting my credit).

Well, the thing is, I was wondering if any of you could recommend any legal services that could help me. I was reading online that a person could send a debt validation letter, etc. and it is not very complicated but I rather being assisted since I'm not familiar with these things. I would appreciate any recommendations.

Stay warm!

Neal Prevost helped a friend of mine on a similar issue. I don't know him, but she was impressed. (he speaks at Dallas Bar events) You might check out his website and other recommendations.

You may want to consider submitting it yourself, it's honestly about as simple as posting to this forum.

I recently submitted an online collections credit dispute to TransUnion with a multiple choice selection (I paid this), a one sentence explanation (I paid this see the receipt) and PDF of receipt. I received a confirmation that the collection was removed two days later.

Best of luck!
