Looking for Frisco homes below $500k. Can you list the communities in that area? I was told about Richwoods and Arbors-at-willow-bay.

Are there any communities which have estate homes - big lots and big backyard?

You can possibly get it in lawler park in the crossings subdivision. The lots are decent and not huge (~ .25 acre). For bigger lots you have to choose carefully and quickly (corner, odd-shaped, etc). However, I doubt you will get .25 acre lots in lawler park or Richwoods for under $500k. Try prosper or some portions of Mckinney (if you are lucky to get under $500k)...

Its really difficult to find a big lot with a good builder below $500k, even in Frisco. You'll have to look into smaller exurbs or consider existing homes.

Are you looking for new construction (to be built), or an existing home? I believe its possible to find an older home for sale around 1/2 acre under $500k, just need to work with a realtor to help with that search.

Agreed...frisco isn't cheap...maybe it once was....but everywhere I looked so far (and I came in with the idea of keeping it between 400-500)..I am always around 550k. Now there are some lovely resales (10 yrs old and some maybe have .25 acre lots). I would encourage that you look in plano/allen/McKinney as well...maybe you will find something there.

As far as big lots...*sigh**not gonna happen...coming from 1.5 acres to barely a postage stamp is something that you will have to adjust too...one a positive note..less lawn means less maintenance !

There is no reason to buy older home in Frisco. You would be better off in Plano with better lot sizes, better location, better schools, better resale.

Default Lot size for half acre plots

I need some help here. If I am looking for huge back yard, what should be lot size in terms of length by width dimension?

Please give me lot size for .25 acre, .5 acre lots. All they display in the sitemap is either sqft or lot size like 60 by 80.

Don't go below 100 x 100 feet, 0.25 acre or 10,000 sq ft.

FYI

Finding a 100 ft wide lot is nearly impossible. In todays world a 70 or 80 ft lot is a premium lot.

With 7 million people and growing, land is becoming hard to find unless you get a real distance out or like much older homes.
