I had FIOS for a year and would give a lot to get it back, but it is not available where I live now.

To be completely transparent about TWC, I just had to call them today due to our bill increasing recently. Apparently our "promotion" had ended, thus our bill had jumped about $50. Luckily they got us back on a new promotion which doubled our internet speeds (now 30/5), kept us with our current premier tv package (200+ HD channels) and we now get HBO. This promotion is locked in on pricing for 12 months. Our bill is now $125 a month before taxes and fees, including 2 HD DVRs and a Docsis 3.0 modem.

I've chosen TWC over AT&T Uverse. Uverse's television product is awful, despite TWC's old, slow boxes and DVRs.
Just saw this. When did you get your DVR? We had the same issue with some DVRs we had for a few years, so we called them up. They swapped them out for newer DVRs that were much quicker. Just a thought!
