We are new to Flower Mound and not having much luck with martial arts studios. We've tried two places and one was way too soft on our kids, and the other is way too hard lol! The former didn't correct improper form and just let it go and the latter keeps talking about the kids "not showing the way of a black belt." I want to say "let's just focus on them listening and doing basic skills rather than teaching them how to properly chamber a leg for a side kick at 4 years old!" There are some coordination issues that my younger one naturally has but instead of actually holding his body and taking his body through the move so he can implement muscle memory, they keep saying "Do it this way, do it this way, remember!" and it's not really helping.
Any recommendations for a martial arts studio that's not all yelling but not all fun and games? A happy medium?

I can't help, but also had a hard time finding a school for my kids when we moved here. Came from a place with a Tae Kwon Do school in every single strip mall...LOL. Not many options here. My kids just decided they wanted to do gymnastics here instead.
