Hi - we are currently in East Plano and looking to move to get into the Plano west school system. My daughter will start elementary school next year. We have seen some houses we like in North Dallas that feed into Plano west high school but the elementary schools are Jackson or Mitchell followed by Frankford Middle school. We are looking in other areas in Plano proper as well but houses are flying off the market before I can even go see them right now so trying to expand our options to North Dallas which feeds into PISD.

Would really like to get some opinions on each of these schools. I have already reviewed the great school ratings, looking for more word of mouth opinions.

Thanks!

For the North Dallas/PISD elementary schools my preference would be 1. Rose Haggar 2. Mitchell then a distant 3. Jackson. We live nearby and I know many who are happy at Haggar and Mitchell but everyone in the Jackson area moved before kids started school.

These are good schools but if you can find something in Brinker,Barksdale or Centennial then those are REALLY good and feed to Renner Middle which is an amazing school located next to Plano West Senior & Tom Muhlenback Rec Center. Academically it has all the oppurtunities as Rice but in a fun and relaxed environment.
