Growing in North Dallas in the 90s, it's obviously changed a lot

I have properties in West Plano, Frisco, McKinney, and Allen, and it's hell these days going around the major cities. Even just 5 years ago it was "acceptable". I travel for work, and always tell others that Dallas, in comparison with other major cities, has relatively good traffic. In 2019, I feel like that's not true anymore. A lot of friends/family that come visit me are also surprised by how bad the traffic is considering I'm out here in the suburbs. I'm just road raging almost every day to the point I almost want to leave Dallas!!

Well you knew what you were in for when you were busy investing in properties in those areas. Traffic there isn't nearly as bad around those areas as it is near Dallas.

Get use to it. It’s only going to get worse in the future. DART will be very popular in 5 to 10 years.

Traffic is getting worse. While traffic was bad when I got here in 2011, it is noticeably worse now than it was then. In the entire time that I have been here, Dallas has always had that Los Angeles like propensity to have backups at almost any time of the day. Non rush hour backups seem to be getting more commonplace.

I've noticed a difference in the past 5 years. The roads are always busy and rush hour is just hell.

I have never been one to complain about traffic considering the amount of time I spend in my car. Lately, it's been a nightmare going anywhere at any time of day. The influx of people has certainly made a huge impact. I wish public transportation was given more priority. When are flying cars going live again?

Well they need to have HOV lanes like they do in bigger cities. That will solve the traffic problem.

There are HOV lanes in places. 75 has HOV lanes north of 635 as an example. There is still traffic there. HOV lanes are not the cure all.
