Yep, he/she is correct.

The CAS (Creativity/Action/Service) segment of IB at PISD requires 150 hours during junior and senior years. They certainly aren't going to give credit for volunteering done in middle school.

NHS, at least at my kid's school, had a much lower threshold (20 hours), but that was on a current school year basis. They weren't accepting retroactive hours, either.

This is true at HPHS as well. I think hours the summer before 9th grade could apply but not anything before then.
