To be built home for 480k in Allen. Please let me know is that worth with Pulte. We saw the model home and liked it and signed the contract. This might be a question to ask before signing the contract. I researched in google and found good reviews and signed the contract. Now I searched with pulte in city-data and not finding encouraging posts I am worried now. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Ever since Pulte bought out Centex, the quality went down. As long as you are buying their higher end series, you should be good. I can assume so based on the price point you indicated.

And so long as it doesn't look like a Centex square box.

I was buying the Lindel model and I liked the neighborhood there. I hope I won't have any problems I had really bad experience with Grand HOmes earlier. They lied to me on my face and caused so many issues and I am out my apt now because of them.

Check out pulte's website for the DFW area, particularly Stonebridge Ranch. Those floor plans looks like the Centex homes that have no visual character; just straight lines, no curves to make their homes less appealing. Google Fox and Jacobs homes and you can see what I'm talking about. Just as long as you get the higher end Pulte series, you should be good to go.

The Lindel model is really nice as long as you get the I, J, or K elevation. The H elevation looks like a typical Centex home. I believe you're getting a Pulte build, not a Centex one. Good luck

Thank you very much for your information. I am going with K elevation. Its a Pulte build and not Centex one. I will check the other details that you posted.

Thanks.

I live in a Pulte home in Waterford Parks which is right next to the community (Landings) you are looking into. Pulte builds nice/quality homes in their higher end series. They also have a good warranty customer service from my experience. If you like their floor plans as it is, good for you....What I don't like about them is that they don't make any changes at all to the floor plans no matter how minor they are.....When spending half a million, I would want to make atleast some minor adjustments to suite my personal needs....This was 3 years ago so maybe they allow changes now.....Also, make sure you are involved in the construction process (keep checking progress every week) and highly recommend hiring an engineer for slab inspection (pre/post pour) and an inspector for staged inspections (pre-drywall at the minimum) through out the building process.....This applies to all new home buyers regardless of the builder....Also, good that none of the current Pulte lots are close to the Allen ISD's service center..:-)....You don't want your backyard sharing the service center's boundary....

Allen commute +Pulte build+ Allen Schools + Service center neighborhood for nearly $500k? YMMV but I don't get it.
