Considering a home in McKinney in Stonebridge Ranch. The driveway is narrow (one car) with a 3 car swing garage. Hubs is having a hard time with how close it is to the neighbor and not being able to have guests park in it. How accepting is the HOA with on street parking...if we have guests staying for a week, they would need to park on the street most likely.

And what's up with the lack homes for sale in McKinney??? Seriously sweating this out...only have 9 days left here in TX and 5 days on current home option, inspections today. Waiting on purchasing seems like a gamble as home prices are going up fast, as well as interest rates.

Inventory is VERY tight right now, has been since the 1st of the year. Not just McKinney, but all of the northern part of the Metroplex.

As to the HOA, call them. But note that the city controls the streets.

Neighbors usually complain if someone else's POS is parked in front of their house.

LOL, I would complain too if it was a POS! This would be a rental car, like if we have out of town visitors for the week or something. I mean I'm getting a house with a guest room...so it would be nice to have guests once in a while

When I lived in a rental in Stonebridge ranch, we regularly parked on the street in front of our house, and never got a warning. They warned for garbage cans, lawns, fence repairs, and stuff like that. I think it all depends on your neighbors though, and ours were cool.

People are always parked in the streets. Just kind of normal. I guess if you head a neighbor that didnt like you it might be a problem.

You can park on the streets in Stonebridge, EXCEPT if you are in Stonebridge Estates, The Enclave, Grand Traditions, and Kings Lake.

These are all gated communities that do not allow it, but for the rest of Stonebridge, the streets are public and you can park on the street with no problems.
