Hello, I have been trying to do plenty of research on Dallas because as of right now I'm still living with my parents in a small suburban city. There is a College I will be attending in the center of Dallas Texas. However this will be my first time on my own, I'm about 22 and my boyfriend is 23, he will be working in the medical district and we both do not want to fight rush hour traffic early morning.

Would anyone have any recommendations for a nice 1-2 bedroom apartment that ranges from $840-$1200 that are in a safe and close location to uptown?

There's really nice new apartments in the Medical District. That area is really growing, lots of medical professionals and Southwest employees, great rental prices, and close to all the activity in Uptown.

$840 might get you a studio, and $1200 will be a nice sized 1 bedroom or a small 2 bedroom.

Also, the Village Apartment community will give you a huge variety of options at your price point. It's well-run and has lots of amenities, plus it's in Uptown and central to nearly everything. I lived there for a year before moving into a house in Lake Highlands and I loved it.
