Why do cities allow people to park on BOTH sides of the streets when doing so essentially creates one lane in the middle?

Also, why don't folks use their garage for what it's built for? And if you do use your garage for storage or something else, please park in the driveway and not the street.

Anyone else see this problem in MANY DFW suburbs?

How in the world are fire trucks and emergency vehicles supposed to get in and out of some of these neighborhoods? Lol

Sorry... just ranting here.

Some of the more crowded streets don't let people park on them, but I kind of like having people parked on my street. Keeps the idiots from doing 50 down a 30.

I guess that is one good thing... but I would say that the city should just install speed bumps.

Where were you during the previous long winded threads about this very topic? LOL

We're actually considering moving to a neighborhood where every house has a 3 car garage just to try to get away from these idiots who keep all their crap in the garage and park on the street.

I REALLY wish our street had speed bumps.

That would be the exception. But really, how many parties are going on that often.

I know that the majority of these cars are owned by the folks that live in these houses.

Totally agree. It just baffles me how people will park a $30k car out in the driveway, but fill their garage with junk.

I wish I could park my vehicle in my garage, but it's just too big.
