I would like to believe that you would want to teach at a school where you could make a greater impact on the lives, the futures of the children you are teaching. The greatest rewards are those most difficult to aquire

A good philosophy but not practical. Since the OP is close to 2 yrs old, s/he has long since decided. I used to teach in "ghetto" schools and it's not for everyone.

How about a 3rd option? Since you live in Richardson have you applied for potential positions there on their online system? Starting in May/June is when those positions will be open. Since you have a composite 7-12 and have experience it is hard to not imagine you being able to be considered as a candidate. Berkner HS is the STEM school for RISD. I'd suggest emailing your resume to principals and the Science Coordinator of RISD if you are interested in RISD.
