I think refinance is a totally different ball game as their rates and fees are more attractive then new loan.

Yes, it's always good to start shopping with the bank where you have your accounts.

Went to my local bank where they know me and they got me the best deal so far so I am going with them. Plus it makes handling my loan easier because I have a place to go meet the mortgage officer rather than having to do everything by phone.
