1. No one was bashing that neighborhood. The consensus was Jupiter is a major dividing line and Lochwood is a great neighborhood. What I was unclear of based on op's thread was if any of the "east of Jupiter" spills west of Jupiter for a few blocks. OP is asking questions so obviously OP is concerned/ skeptical on some level.

2. Promising hope of becoming part of Richardson ISD is foolish and misleading. DISD isn't going to give up that area, especially since home values - and thus, property taxes - are rising rapidly east of the lake now.

Why don't you look in Casa Linda Forest. I think it has what you are looking for. Not sure what you are looking for in terms of price range, though.
The neighborhood is bordered by Buckner/Ferguson/Lakeland/the train tracks.
