I came across an article in Dallas News showing $300K for Addison's Kaboon Town. Just the fireworks cost.

Part of the cost is due to the choreographed show and the planning it takes. The company behind the Addison's fireworks was Pyros Show , Tennessee based company. They are nation's leading. I can see how the planning and the choreography to music can be expensive.

I as well attended the Richardson city's fireworks. This was NOT choreographed to music. That would mean less planning and strategy. As well both the cities were comparable to the number of minutes the shots go.

I'm curious on how much did Richardson city spend on fireworks? If the cost of the fireworks is more or less comparable based on the minutes... im interested in knowing what is the differential cost between these 2 cities.

I have looked at the yearly financial statements that Richardson publishes for past years... couldnt see what it is for JULY 4th fireworks.

Any one know how to get this information?

It is not only time, but also the height and timing of the show as well. Years ago Murphy spent about 12K for a 15 minute show. Height was 300' (3" diameter shells). Additionally the timing between blasts is a factor - the more booms a minute, the higher the cost.

But you can call the city and request that info. or use this link:
