El Asadero has great Mexican food in the Stockyards. Another fun casual option is the Love Shack for burgers and a cold beer and you are in the middle of the action. Joe T's certainly has a nice patio but their food is mediocre. You can't watch the cattle drive (basically they move a herd from one pen to another) from Joe T's, El A, or another Mexican place I like, El Rancho Grande. You would be able to see it from Riscky's or Love Shack or H3 (I have never been a big fan of H3 but it's been a while since I've eaten there).

Lonesome Dove is great too- more of an upscale experience with wild game options like quail, venison, bison, etc. I can't remember if they do lunch at all, just weekends, or what, but I'm sure they have a website or you can call when you make a reservation. It's not restaurant week yet so it shouldn't be booked up.

There's a good little cupcake place in the Stockyards too if yall want a birthday sweet! Can't remember the name of it.

Hope yall have fun! Sorry for not replying, I didn't see this.
