Are there towns with a strong airline community or is everyone spread out across the cities?

Growing up the son of an airline employee in the early 90s we lived in Euless, as it was affordable and super close to DFW.

A good number apparently in Mid-Cities (Bedford, Hurst, Euless), especially for the customer service and ramp people who don't earn the big bucks. In addition to Grapevine, sizable numbers in Colleyville and Southlake for people who can afford it. On my block alone we have an airline attorney and a pilot (that I know of, there may be more). My wife is a CSR (gates and lobby), and in addition to the above I think several of her co-workers are in Irving.

Obviously, all anecdotal from a limited subset, just passing along what I've been been told and observed. We were personally looking "near the airport, good schools" as I suspect many DFW-based employees do, and so can rattle off names at the various price points. Can't imagine the logic is much different for other airport workers.

Coppell & Flower Mound haven't been mentioned yet. Both seem to have a significant number of pilots and airline middle management types in my comings and goings.

Look at the far southwest parts of Grapevine. There are many neighborhoods where you won't even have to get on the freeway to get to DFW. We live in the Town Park Edition, which is one of these. We bought our house from a retired pilot, an Eagle pilot lives across the street, and a mechanic lives two houses down.
