I have a Honda Odyssey & my son has a small 90cc w/ travel suspension, is there places to ride within' comfortable driving distance for these type of off-road vehicles & eventually like Honda 400ex's? Or should I give them up before the move?

Thanks

Never seen any place. All land around here is privately owned and fenced. You do realize the metroplex is bigger than some New England states?

I believe you can ride motorized carts in the Great Trinity Forest, on the southside of Dallas. People shoot guns there, so I'm sure some light carting is probably cool.

There is also still tons of empty open land around Plano, we always rode 'tresspass' style all around. My old place was around Hedgecox & Preston. There was a great dirt track lots of mud, some hills/bumps to catch air, and a tiny little bridge that you had to cross. Haven't been there in 10 years, it's probably houses now.

But such places are not hard to find.

Brings back memories... I grew up in Plano in the 80's, had a Manco Dingo. There used to be an abundance of empty fields that you could race around in and nobody cared, over time they all became housing developments.

We used to go out to the old abandoned Belz mall by 121 and 75. We had the entire parking lot to ourselves, it was great.

It's funny, I think I'm a bit older than Overdog by his description of location, when I was riding go-karts, you didn't have to go that far north yet, there was nothing north of Spring Creek in a lot of areas, and nothing north of Legacy except Deerfield.

To find fields to ride around in now, McKinney or Prosper is probably a lot easier than Plano.
