Don't laugh, I'm an atheist, however, both our kids (boy and girl) attended Prince of Peace Catholic in Plano.

POP Catholic Plano is, IMO, the best 3K-8th in the metroplex. It's fiendishly difficult and all the rest. The kids leave ready for most any academic challenge.

FWiiW - Find Pastor James Balint (Pastor Emeritis) - better known as Father Jim. He might just be the best human being on the face of the earth.

Thank You. The Catholic schools seem much more pricey in Dallas than CO, so I am glad to hear that they're good. I hope that my daughter can get accepted mid-year.

None

If you are interested in Lake Highlands or Lakewood, both St. Patricks and St. Thomas Aquinas are great. Heard good things about St. Ritas too.

We are St. Anns Parishioners and really like it.

My husband will be all over the city and suburbs as a contractor and I will find part time work at the nearest hospital- I am a nurse. My husband seems interested in Lake Highlands. I tend to like suburbs but don't know what any of them are like yet.
I'd figure out where your job is going to be first..there are hospitals all over the place and that will very much affect where you want to live.

Catholic schools here are MUCH MUCH more expensive than in Denver...We came in 2 weeks after school started and even managed to get financial aid, so be sure to apply! I was surprised we got any since the year had started. With our financial aid, we are paying $2500 a MONTH for 10 months (we paid maybe $700 in Denver when both our kids were in Catholic school at Blessed Sacrament) plus uniforms. Catholic school for our kids is a priority for us, so we will make it work no matter what. We might not have the latest greatest that the Joneses have, but that's ok with us.

Oh, and the hospitals are Methodist that I've been able to come across, no Catholic. But there is a Catholic Credit Union :-).
