My boyfriend and I are considering a move to the Dallas area. I will be able to transfer with my company, however my boyfriend will have to find something once we are down there.

I was hoping to get a pulse on automotive jobs (he currently is the general manager of an automotive repair shop), specifically, how available they are and what a possible managers pay range might be (he's over 6 figures where we are now).

Where we live now a 'starter' home is $425k and up, which is daunting even with our yearly income.

We've mostly focused on Plano, because of their school districts reputation, if that helps at all in regards to location.

TIA!

Try Monster.com for auto job listings. Also, you could bring up all the auto industries located in Plano using Yellow Pages Local Directory - YELLOWPAGES.COM and contacting those of interest. In addition, there is also a GM plant located in Arlington if that holds any interest.
