Arlington to Grapevine is an easy 20-minute drive. Take Collins/157 north, and it merges into 121. Take Main Street exit, and turn left across the bridge. Bob's will be on the right.

Be careful both Perry's and Nick and Sam's have a "grill". So Perry's Grill and Nick and Sam's Grill. Those are the more trendy version with crappy food.
Pretty close to my list (3 Forks doesn't make the cut for me) until I got myself a Big Green Egg. It's ruined me on steak houses.

Pappas Brothers is also good and on the western side of Dallas so somewhat closer to Arlington then many of the other steakhouses mentioned.

Given where you'll be I'd go with one of:

Perry's as mentioned above Perry's is really excellent.

Nick and Sam's........the dry aged, "Long Bone Cowboy" is one of the best steaks in the country short of $500 per plate Kobe beef.

Bob's on Lemon.

Steel in Uptown. It's nominally a sushi place but they do a mean grilled filet.

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned Al Biernat's. Has no one been there, or do you all just not like it? It's often rated as one of the TOP steakhouses in Dallas.

I've eaten there twice and been slightly disappointed both times.

Compared to Al Biernat's, Bob's makes a better steak and Nick & Sam's has better service + overall dining experience.

I would do Pappas Brothers. It is slightly closer and consistently rated one of the three highest. Also, it is visually stunning. I like Al's, but for different reasons. For an out of town person, staying in Arlington, Pappas makes the most sense. Alternatively, head to DT Fort Worth and go to Del Friscos. Its FW location is the nicest, and DT Fort Worth is head and shoulders above Dallas.
