In regards to new home construction it will be hard to find something within your price range (300-400's) in Flower Mound / Coppell / Southlake / Grapevine Colleyville.

If schools are top priority I would consider looking at existing homes in south Flower Mound (75022) / Coppell / Grapevine Colleyville. Inventory will be low and homes will sell quick but for your work location and schools being top priority I think this would be your best option.

If you are set on a new build - look at Roanoke. It will be in the northwest ISD which is the same as Trophy Club but the prices will be considerably less. Northwest ISD doesn't compare to the other areas mentioned but it certainly isn't bad - above average I would say. Builders I would look at in Roanoke (Highland, Drees, Darling); Ashton Wood homes is also an option for a very reasonable price.

Thanks nawvtanzi09 - agree with all your points.
Grand homes in Raonaoke are what I had in mind.

Flowermound and Coppell would be ideal for me but the process of buying existing home (I was told bidding process could get overwhelming) is daunting.
May be I am just procrastinating. I should probably find a realtor and start looking at existing homes in various neighborhoods to make decisions about old vs new, neighborhood, etc.

I would stay away from Grand Homes. Would just try to do a search for them on this forum and you will get a lot of negative opinions about them.

The builders I mentioned are very reputable and are within your price range. Would look at those builders first.

Since school is #1 priority would strongly advice on getting a good realtor that covers the area you are looking at since FloMo and Coppell schools are top notch.

Default Property Search

Flower Mound is a great place to live and you can't go wrong with any of the schools. I have lived in this area for over 20 years. Trophy Club and Grapevine would be good options as well. There are portions of Roanoke with newer homes I would also recommend. If you are interested in buyielding Moderator cut: not allowed

Best wishes to you!

I totally agree with the poster re: building in Roanoke instead of TC. Same ISD and significantly lower taxes and home prices. TC is overrated in my opinion. Lots of track homes and horrible traffic.

I think Trophy Club is nice. Like ChristieP said. I would do a search on Grand before you purchase anything.

Crap I just realized how old this thread is.
