Today's Earthquakes in Texas, United States

There have been quite a few earthquakes in Irving in the recent times. I would definitely consider adding earthquake insurance to the home insurance policy if I lived in the Irving area....Btw, standard home insurance does not cover earthquake damage...

I found it interesting hearing over the radio that there was no reported earthquakes in Irving before 2008 but since then there has been a 100 reported quakes all of low intensity. I would agree with you about adding earthquake insurance since standard home insurance does not cover it. However, if an earthquake of 6+ on richter scale hits it then there will be damages across much larger area including collin county and beyond...

Why are people in such denial about this? Fault is waking up? A friend of mine who is a geologist laughed when I suggested that and said to look at the data. We're in denial.

Denial about what? Faults or fracking? I'm normally one to point out that correlation doesn't always equal causation. But I think it's becoming clear.
