I am going to be graduating from college in May of 2015. I have been trying to find a new place to start over. I am single and don't know anyone in Dallas. Can anyone give me advice on safe areas to live for a female. My price range will be between 700 and 900 a month. I would like to be close to a movie theater, shopping and restaurants.

You'll need to get a job offer first and then come back to the forum asking for places that meet your commute criteria (time, not distance). DFW covers a HUGE amount of land and picking your neighborhood before finding a job could easily mean having a 45-90 minute commute each direction on a $10/day Tollroad.

Rest assured there are neighborhoods all over the metroplex that meet your budget criteria and desire to live in a safe but lively area.

If you can find a job first, the older complexes in The Village would probably be a good fit for you.
