Where can I find a six or seven foot Christmas tree with the tub that holds the water in the Dallas, Tx area? I live closer to the Red Oak, Desoto area also! Merry Christmas, it's that time of the season!

Thank you for your input!

Check your nearest Lowe's or Home Depot. You're looking for a "Christmas tree stand" (not a tub). Both stores have very affordable quality live trees.

Some grocery stores have tree farms that set up in the parking lot.

Believe you're going to have to buy these separately - I like Calloway's Nursery for the trees and greenery pieces for decorating (check their specials and locations). As far as the galvanized tub like those shown
here - and that is really what you're looking for instead of the tree stands as TC80 suggested - try Garden Ridge, Home Depot or Lowe's, or any of your local feed stores - might give them a call first.

Wow! I had no idea galvanized tubs were a "thing" for Christmas trees.

First I've seen, too! Would make for a great cat deterrent though I bet!

There is a Christmas tree lot at NW HWY and approximately Jupiter that has high end trees that already have the Christmas tree stands connected to many of their trees. The good big trees are expensive ($300.00-400.00), but you can also have them deliver them and put them up in your house.

Sorry to take this off topic, but I have a question. We've had everything from $200+ trees to $40 trees from home depot. Why are some SOOOO dang expensive. I've found the home depot trees to last and look just as nice as the expensive ones we've purchased.

*I actually wish we could find a place fairly close to go find and cut down our own tree. I'd love to start making that a tradition with my boys.

I've often wondered the exact same thing.

Picturing Christmas Vacation now. Don't forget the saw!

And just to be clear, I understand there are different "types" of Christmas trees. But Home Depot/Lowes/etc. seems to carry all the same ones the "expensive" lots do.

If I was buying a 6-7 foot tree, I would go to Home Depot, Costco, Central Market, etc. However, if you are looking for the 8-10 foot trees, those places have very limited selections. Thus, the Christmas Tree lots can charge a premium.
