I am interested in some of the downtown residential buildings such as 1505 Main. Has anyone lived in these? Pro's and Con's? We have a dog and want to try an urban living experience. Haven't lived in multi-residential housing for over 40 years so would rent, initially. Going to be doing a lot of traveling and looking for a place in DFW where we'd live when not away.

I love downtown. I haven't lived in that building, but it looks really nice. Main Street Park is close, and great for dogs! I use to go there almost once a week, and my dog loved it. I'm sure there are other owners in the building with dogs.

All the buildings around it are getting major renovations. The LTV tower and 1401 Elm are being converted to Luxury apartments. 1401 has enough ground floor square footage to bring in a department store or a full service grocery store, which is exciting. The retail has not been announced yet though.
