Is it possible to find decent quality furniture that is budget friendly? I've checked out The Dump...any other suggestions? I'm going from 1800sq ft to 2700 sq ft. Lots of rooms to fill!! I'm a "bargainista!"

Weir's outlet. I would also suggest consignment stores for case goods. Some are very overpriced but I have had some luck at on consignment.

The best way to get quality furniture at a decent price is used. Look for estate/garage sales in nice areas. There are a lot of neighborhood Facebook yard sale groups you might want to check and see if there is one around you. Craigslist can be a good place too.

Give some stores example of "decent quality furniture" which you have purchased in the past and met your expectation..... that will help others to give more similar options available in the area.

My family has purchased numerous items at Havertys. It is not the cheapest, but it holds up well. Same can be said for Crate and Barrell and their couches. We had a very poor experience with Restoration Hardware.

I am sure you can find cheaper places, but I would suggest that you buy slowly and buy good pieces instead. Havertys used to have a deal that there was no interest if you paid it off in a year. We would buy one piece, slowly make payments, and then buy another piece when we could afford it. It took a couple of years to get what we want, but the furniture is still used by my various family members 15 years later.

Dillard's still carries quality brands like Bernhardt and Century. Certain times of the year they have floor sample clearance sales where you can find some deals!

I second that. We bought from Havertys when we moved from a one bedroom apt to a four bedroom house. The prices are a bit high but they seem to be better built than Rooms to Go or Ashleys. We did the 2 year financing for 0 interest and slowly paying them off. Also we will go there and check out the floor sample sales they have. I got a bookcase and a side table for almost 80% off.

The Nebraska Furniture Mart is opening in Spring 2015. Maybe you can hold off until
they are opened and check them out.
