My grass is starting to get yellow streaks and dead patches! My best guess is that all the rain is suffocating it and that it needs aeration, but I'm no lawn expert. Anyone else have this problem?

Probably some kind of mildew or fungus from all this rain. Is it Saint Augustine or Bermuda?

Have you fertilized in the last 90 days ? You might go to a nursery for an opinion.

Interesting. I have the same thing happen in two spots on my St augustine lawn. I had already pretreated the grass with an antifungal so I don't think it is a fungal disease. It happened after the lawn was fertilized though, so my guess was that it was a fertilizer burn. OP, did you fertilize your lawn just before the yellowing happened?

We didn't fertilize this year. We water on a well that has a very high iron content and have never needed to. My first guess was grubs, but we didn't find anything other than roly polies when we dug. It's st Augustine grass. We are going to aerate tomorrow and see if that helps unless there are other suggestions.
