This thing is a major job driver, not just the direct Toyota jobs either. Suppliers and contractors will follow them here and other corporations globally look to Toyota is a leader so other large non US based companies will give this area a look for relocations where they might not have before this move. Frisco has it's five billion dollar mile developments while Plano is getting the direct jobs from Toyota, FedEx office and Liberty Mutual.. Sure Frisco has the cowboys and will see demand as a result of the Plano jobs but it's nice to name the employers fueling Plano.

I belief this greater Plano, Frisco, The Colony (Nebraska furniture outlet etc) area which I call CCC for Collin county center will be a major DFW center of activity.

LOL. When an employer is coming to Plano then people call that a good news for Collin County but if one is coming to Frisco then they call it good news for Frisco.

Well, that's pretty much accurate. Plano is 95+% full. That means this is going to boost neighboring cities as well, since most of the employees won't be living in the City of Plano. Plano gets the tax revenue on the business, everyone gets the economic boost from more people.

On the other hand, if a business moves to Frisco, the benefits WILL mostly accrue to Frisco. Beyond the business, the employees will mostly also live there, since the housing is available and affordable right there.

This. People need to realize that interest of whole DFW are tied together. Plano's prosperity irrigates neighboring towns as well.

You realize there is a difference in the economic impact of Toyota bringing jobs to a location vs a developer building new office and retail to an area don't you?

Agreed. When is the last time Frisco landed a HQ relo that brought in a few thousand new jobs and millions of square feet? Not to mention more than one.
