Hi there, we are looking for a house in Dallas Fortworth Area, would appreciate any advice!

I work in Los Collinas and my lovely wife's company is in downtown Dallas (KPMG) but will likely to travel to corporate headquarters around DFW area.

We are in our 20s and will not have kids in these 2 years.

Our budget is 450k, and we are looking for houses built within 3 years or new houses.

We want to stay within 45 min of work, prefer within 30 min. We like more established communities with whole foods and movies and shops but could settle for something different. We like a big yard with views but can settle for a small yard if close to work. We would prefer the school zones are good, rating at least 8/10 for all schools (elementary/middle/high)

Thank yall!

I really think your best bet for all what you want above is going to be the Coppell, Grapevine, Irving area. Trying to find new homes, close to downtown, with great schools all for 450K is going to be tough. But MIGHT be doable around those areas. Just don't expect a large house and big yard.

New homes in Grapevine are very few, and limited to a couple of developments along Hwy 360.

Will PM a good local RE site

Any chance you will move/relocate thru work/job change in near future--within 5 yrs or so?
If so likely better off renting vs buying

relocation is unlikely but possible. I'm not counting on relocation in 5 years tho.
