Great catch, is this area of Richardson in Plano ISD? If so some growth for Plano east schools.

I couldn't give you another reputation boost. This article is clearer.

According to this board, Plano doesn't want apartment children in its schools.

I thought they tolerated that even if Certain Areas had their noses in the air about it. I know Carroll/Southlake doesn't want any of that nasty "multi-unit housing", you know, those terrible townhomes selling for 700K+....

Any good town with long term economic plans, wouldn't say no to apartments or businesses.

Interesting thing about that is the actual schools in Plano themselves don't see a measurable impact to their student populations with all the apartments going in around Plano, if you believe what they put in P&Z documents. I haven't seen a single case in the past few years where the schools were against a development due to student populations.

Some of the Canyon Creek townhomes & single family developments were going to have an impact on Richardson schools if I recall correctly on the other hand.
